I am grateful by the opportunity to serve as president of the Indian Medical Association - Vadodara; one of the largest, most vibrant, and also oldest association. Now we are blessed with many dedicated committee members who care deeply about our discipline, its standing, and contributions in a fast-changing environment. They also care about serving our members with new innovative ideas, bond of strength as united fraternity, always shows the power of mass presentation, from the most junior to the most experienced, and about creating opportunities for the betterment and advancement of our medical fraternity. With the help of our well working all committees, we will do our best to make each member proud of our IMA branch as a fund rich medical association of Vadodara city.

On behalf of IMA Vadodara Branch, i welcome you all here on this website. In the Era of 4G-5G and Digitalization, our mother association, IMA VADODARA is also going to step-in for this future technology of Paperless world. We are really excited and very happy to re-launch this website of our association. This is an effort taken up by our association where information would be stored and transmitted digitally and would become easily and readily accessible on demand to all users. By doing such steps we become a part of global communities, whose aim is to prevent our environment by saving Trees.

We will try our level best to keep each and everything at one place so that everyone can assess it very easily, be it the member’s information or future or past events & its photographs or softcopy of monthly bulletins. About IMA Vadodara

Baroda state had no organized medical service throughout its length and breadth.

It was during the regime of the old Baroda state that the Medical Union was formed in 1938-39. Dr. R. B. Chandrachud, the then Chief Medical Officer of the state Hospital (Now SSG Hospital) was the first President of the union. Dr. P. V. Pendse was the Hon. Secretary. The meetings of this union were held in the entrance hall of the administrative building of state hospital (Shri Sayaji General Hospital) . Initially the private medical practitioners were few. As the time went by the private medical practitioners grew. They established a private medical practitioner’s union and had their meetings in the building of the Fatehsingh Library at Kothi.
